New addition to Rocklyn team

In October 2013, Rocklyn Merino Stud welcomed a new livestock overseer, Mitchell Duffy, to the team. Mitch previously managed a large sheep and cattle property in the Yass region and, before that, at Nimmitabel on the Monaro, so brings with him a good range of experience and skills for managing the day-to-day sheep operations at ‘Rocklyn’.

Mitch also owns and manages Democa Kelpies so understands the attention required when breeding animals for performance. Mitch’s kelpies have proven to be another handy addition to ‘Rocklyn’, being excellent working dogs in both the paddock and in the yard. Recently, Mitch has had success with his kelpies at a number of trials, with Democa ‘Ninja’ coming 3rd at the 2014 Australian Championships at Lucindale, 4th at the 2014 NSW Championships at Bathurst and 1st in the 2014 Southern Tablelands Championships at Taralga.
